Martin Brothers, their aesthetic is a kind of 80s LA night club influenced, dreamy dance pop.
After a few collective band projects the brothers formed the DJ duo Martin Brothers in 2013 following their first release of singles. The songs Don’t Go and Champion helped them to gain airplay on various radio stations.
By the end of 2015 they started working in Los Angeles on their first album called California. They collaborated mainly with featuring vocalists from the USA. For mixing and mastering they got to work with Grammy Award winners such as Veronica Ferraro, Miles Walker and Tom Coyne.
True to the title, their newest single Dynamite makes recurring use of the “explosive” motif, with lyrics like You make my heart go boom boom boom. We could blow up the moon moon moon. You get the idea. The track has a sparkling, synthed out retro backing, while the female pop vocalist delivers the catchy lines. These mildly retro synths and classic-gamer-like flashes are subtle yet detectable by the trained ear; adding something all the more likeable to an already satisfying, ear-worm of a pop-dance track.
